through the eyes of a child ...

Today Raegan and I went to the library to return the DVD's we had previously borrowed and to get a couple of new ones for her. While we were there, Raegan asked if we could go upstairs. I told her it wouldn't be any fun up there cause there weren't any kid books or movies, but she said she wanted to go anyway. So we went. With every step we took up the staircase, her eyes got wider and wider with wonder! She was so excited to venture into this 'unexplored' part of the world (her world, that is). We got up there and she saw, what seemed to her, endless stacks full of books! She thought this was soooooo cool! She went in and out of every stack and didn't really look at any of the books, but just kind of had this look of awe in her eyes at how many there were. She wanted to look in every nook and cranny in that library. She kept asking me, in an excited whisper, "MOMMY?! Can we explore over there?!?!" I heard her whispering over and over to herself, "this is soooo amazing!" And I was thinking to myself, its just books. I actually said it aloud at one point while she kept saying that, and she heard me, but that didn't seem to make it any less amazing to her ... she just kept saying it again, "but its so amazing!" I think it would be awesome to be able to (as an adult) look at the world through the eyes of a child ... even if only for a moment. I can't even begin to imagine how much more we might appreciate and enjoy this life ...

What a sweet story about the little library fairy! (And a cute pic!) I remember her getting that little outfit last year! Can't believe she's a whole year older! Can't wait to see you guys this weekend...Happy Birthday, Raegan Faith! Love you both!
Bobbie

ahhh... what a cutie! Look at her all excited about books. Go great you took her there. =) Can't wait to see you next weekend!!! I can't believe Raegan's gunna be 4..

It is amazing to see how little kids react to things. I love the library. It is a great way not to spend money on movies. Plus they let you keep them longer.

Happy Birthday Reagan!!!:)

So I see how it is. When Raegan asks to go see what's upstairs, you let her...but when I wanted to see what was upstairs today, you wouldn't let me go. What's going on her? Hmm? Haha...just kidding. To tell you the truth, sometimes I act too much like a kid. The first time I was in that library, I wanted to go see what was upstairs haha. Still do actually, so next time we're in there...we're totally going upstairs :) Haha. Love ya, Joanna

I agree with Raegan!! Libraries and books are amazing!!
I can hardly wait to see you both this weekend!
Happy birthday Raegan!
love to you both!
I remember when she got that outfit last year...she is a beautiful little girl
LOVE, MOM

I can just picture Raegan doing that. I love her so much. Every time you guys come here to visit my love for her grows. She's such a precious girl. And, she loves her cousin Daniel and takes care of him so good.
