Happy Birthday, Jesus!!!

Today we had a wonderful service at my home church. I miss going there so so much!! It was so nice to worship Jesus in His house on the day of His birth! The message was awesome and so was the worship! For any of you (Darcy) who read my blog from the beginning, you'll notice I made some changes to it. The main one now is the look. It was all black and white. But the other change is the title. I originally titled it Take You Back, which is the title of one of my favorite Jeremy Camp songs. The song is about a person who has either strayed away from Jesus or completely turned their back on Him. Its about how Jesus will always take us back whenever we come to Him in repentance. In Jeremy Camp's song description he references the story of the prodigal son which can be found in Luke Chapter 15. That was what the message was about today at church. What perfect timing for me to hear that message. Especially after my post from last night. I love to see how God works and how He speaks to me in different ways. I never hear booming voice or any voice at all for that matter. But He speaks to me through songs, through worship, and through other people ... just like the message this morning.

Christy,
I stumbled across your blog.. don't ask me how, I was in and out of so many pages.. but i so relate to this post. I have been off and on of my spiritual journey over the last several years. I am happy to say that the last year and a half (and most recently the last 8 months) has been an amazing ride! It is so awesome how God is right there waiting..no matter how long, or how off track we get. I have not heard that song you referenced but, I am going to pick it up this week. Jeremy's dad was a guest speaker at my church a couple months ago. IRONIc, that I am in W Lafayette! You are searching for a church.... I would love to welcome you to a visit at Covenant Presbyterian. It is full of young people and (some old) which makes for a great variety. The pasters are young and fairly informal( no robes) but not too casual. The worship team is very good, pretty contemperary, but not overly charismatic. There are lots of groups and ways to get plugged in. There is a fabulous women's ministry team that offers fun events throughout the year.
I know this is a little crazy to write you, but I just felt compelled to leave you a note.
( I am totally new to the whole blogging thing), but am hoping to give and get a whole lot out of it!
Thanks for sharing!
And your little girl could not be more adorable!
